Glacial Hammer of Shattering + Ruthless Support out of sync feels bad

So I am really enjoying the new Glacial Hammer of Shattering transfigure gem that does a guaranteed Critical Strike on the 3rd successive hit.

The only issue that makes this feel awkward to play is, to get ful lvalue out of this, you want Ruthless Support, which also triggers on every 3rd hit, but thoese hits do not needs to be successive.

I did found a way to circumvent this though for the time being.
If you put the gems out of the socket or switch weapons (when both GH and Ruthelss are in your main weapon) and then switch weapons back, you reset the counter for both at the same time, which brings them in sync again.
But this makes this even more clunky and awkward to play.

I don't know if the GH successive condition was made for some balancing reasons, to not be abuseable, but I would really hope you could change it so, it does never go out of sync with Ruthless by not requiring it to be successive.
