Incandescent Heart - Elemental Reflect - I don't understand

Hey All,

Can someone help me understand why I am taking Elemental Reflect Damage with this chest?

So I am a Detonate Dead Witch build.

Detonate Dead says: The Explosion cannot be reflected.

Before I upgraded to my new chest, I never took any Ele Reflect. I ran all the elemental reflect maps I found, no issues.

Now I am wearing Incandescent Heart (stats bewlow)

Gain 20% of Elemental Damage as Extra Chaos Damage
25% of Elemental Damage from Hits taken as Chaos Damage
22% increased Light Radius
Light Radius is based on Energy Shield instead of Life

So a couple thoughts I had:

1.) My explosion is gaining 20% ele dmg as extra chaos dmg. Are the mobs reflecting the chaos damage? If so, why? Chaos dmg is not Elemental.
2.) Even if they are reflecting the chaos damage, I am CI, so I should be immune to that damage.

I can straight up change to a tabula and do Elemental Reflect map, but the moment I put on this chest I go kill myself.

off topic but isnt DD better played as an elementalist? you would be immune to ele reflect too

Yeah, this is just a very tanky version. Mostly for Simulacrum wave 30 farming easily.

Perhaps the chest is just such a significant increase in dmg, i am not noticing the ele reflect dmg with tabula. Probably it.
