Is the HDR tool Special K allowed for use?

I have an HDR monitor, and there is a tool called special K that injects HDR mode into any game that runs on DX12/DX11. I have been using this tool to add HDR to poe and so far i didnt get banned, but i am afraid that i might, is this tool allowed?
The tool i am talking about is this https://wiki.special-k.info/en/HDR/Retrofit It does not provide hacks or gameplay advantages, its just making the game render in HDR mode, no shenenigans happening, ONLY HDR. If it modifies files, no. Special K does just that.

The support for sure will tell you cannot use it, but I can't tell for sure that is safe. I heard that there was incident(ONE) long time ago, before I was playing PoE that injection could be detected and was a lot of bans.
