Stacking slow effects not working?
Casting withered (with a totem) says it reduces enemy movement speed by 36%.
Combined with curse mastery "enemies you curse are hindered with 15% reduced movement speed" - I should EASILY be slowing enemies down to 50% reduced movespeed. I'm ALSO running blasphemy and Temporal Chains with additional 20% less action speed AND chilling enemies they should be slowing down significantly and that's not at all how it feels during mapping. Something HAS to be wrong here. enemies with 50% reduced movement speed + chill + temporal chains with 20% less action speed shouldnt be outrunning my character. I know some rares have "cannot be fully slowed" or "reduced wither effects" "hasted" etc - but it seems like there's absolutely NO way that I'm getting 50%-70% reduced movement speed + temporal chains and most enemies are still closing the gap on me faster than my character can run with the stampede boots on. Something HAS to not be working properly with slowing enemy move speed. Even just in regular mapping - its 100% NOT working properly. I see you have 57% increased effect of withered (20% tree, 37% from charms), but this is not important.
Wither is a spell that applies the Hinder debuff, and a stacking Withered debuff. Withered is a debuff which applies a 6% increased chaos damage taken. Hinder is a debuff that reduces movement speed, if a creature is hindered by multiple sources only the strongest Hinder takes effect (mastery, ascendancy and Wither apply Hinder). Yea it was explained to me that it was stupid of me to think that:
- occultist ascendancy inflicts "wither", increasing chaos damage taken - And "Wither" inflicting "withered", increasing chaos damage taken - And various item effects that inflict "wither", increasing chaos damage taken ... are not all the same thing and that increasing the effects of "withered" would obviously, not apply to some effects of the skill "Wither". /s Like what the actual fuck GGG? Can you make this stuff any more convoluted? Let alone the fact that NOWHERE in the game does it say that the effects of hinder dont stack. (At least nowhere in the curse mastery, or wither gem, or chill which are my main sources of it). Ive been playing PoE for 10 years and this shit gets tiring. Fuck me for making obvious assumptions in this game I guess. |
