my third accendacy for the league mechanic says find the grigging king. i killed him twice but yet i cant advance my accendcy. wth is thhis dogshhhhht third thing i have to do to get my final two points in the league mechanic.... i dont get it...

" It's like the difference between defeating The Elder, and defeating The Elder in The Shaper's Realm. There is a Wildwood encounter called "King in the Mists' Ritual Grounds" (called as such under the challenge Mórrigan's Mystic Marvels), in which you fight a weaker version of the King in the Mists and it drops a Ritual Vessel when defeated. This encounter also a lower area level requirement for spawning. The encounter for the quest is the "King in the Mists' Stronghold". This Wildwood encounter doesn't immediately go into a fight, but has you interact with some objects to create a portal to the Crux of Nothingness. The fight in this separate area is what counts for the quest. I've heard the Stronghold requires t14+ maps to find. While I suspect t13 maps might also work, t14+ allows you to also work with Maven/Exarch/Eater beacons on the map device. |

That's just irritating as hell...why would the game give me a quest that I can't complete for another 12 tiers and give no indication that there's more than one king encounter?

The WW ascendancies are similar to Lab, with min requirements for each pair of points.
But, yes, it's a bit confusing, and it's also RNG whether he even appears when you run a T14+. Based on comments I've seen I would guess it's on the order of 5% for his fortress to appear, so you could find him in a few maps, or it might take 50. |
