Having a Loot Filter is Too Essential to be Relegated to 3rd Party

The game becomes unplayable near the end of acts without a loot filter. Considering it is an essential part of the game, I think the way it is handled is very poor. The build your own loot filter page is like reading an introductory programming lesson and the opposite of user friendly. We shouldn't have to use 3rd party (filter blade) or learn programming to filter all the trash drops. If it's essential to the game, it should be built in to the game, with a user friendly interface to customize.

Last Epoch, Wolcen, and Grim Dawn, while absolutely primitive by comparison, are very simple and straightforward loot filters.

Trouble is that PoE has a metric FUCKTON of stuff that drops which isn't just gear which I imagine would result in a bloated ingame loot filter configuration UI. The game's performance has been deteriorating with each league, I can't imagine it would be able to handle a user friendly filter customization system.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

I agree that relying on third-party tools feels bad and a more user-friendly interface should be included.

UI elements don't have a performance cost, they can only use memory while they are open. There is really no reason for this not to be in the game, other than the fact that it is not a priority for them for whatever reason.

Don't worry you can edit the loot filter file manually like back in the day if you want to, no one will stop you
The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.
Since the opening post mentioned Neversink, here's his thoughts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=740

tl;dw he wants to be independent and keep PoE as a hobby instead of a job. Also moving to NZ would be difficult.
