Exsanguinate and Effectiveness of Added Damage for Poison

Hi,

Does Effectiveness of Added Damage apply to poisons applied by Exsanguinate, please?

Just trying to decide between Trans Exsanguinate and normal. Noticed the Effectiveness of Added Damage is 55% vs normal gem of 270%, so quite a difference.

Thanks :)

Effectiveness of Added Damage is a multiplier for added damage (like from Added Chaos Damage Support). It doesn't affect you posion directly. But added damage contributes to poison base damage calculation, so stacking added damage would be less effective.

The more important thing for posion builds is that trans version has 1/5 of normal version hit damage.

Thanks! That's a good point, the damage caused by the Trans version is lower. Not sure it's 1/5 now though, seems to have been upped a bit, least on the wiki?

I think I will stick with standard exsanguinate anyway and use chain as before.

Thank you :)
