this mechanic, which was added like 2-3 leagues ago, kills me every single league without fail. there is no other mechanic that kills me. this one thing, makes a steel-slashing sound, and it's basically impossible to notice if the enemy is behind the environment. the mechanic makes zero sense, because it 100% will kill you, and it's not properly identifiable, and the sound it makes doesn't add up to what's happening. I will genuinely not play poe again in the future unless you make this mechanic identifiable by color of the modifier in the name -- and change the sound of the crystals being placed. this mechanic, is a failure on GGG's part, entirely.
(I couldn't even tell you the name of the modifier or how it's worded on monsters because it's both rare and new-ish to the game. but it is undoubtedly one of the worst implementations to the game, and I actually want to uninstall because it's not worth dealing with this sh*t in the future.  and to be real with you, I uninstalled Diablo 4 for less. I expect poe to not have poorly implemented mechanics that one shot you -- unless it's a new addition to the game. this is something that was added leagues ago, that hasn't been changed at all, and it's an absolute one shot if you have your sound muted. and the sound STILL doesn't add up to what the mechanic is doing. it's an immediate on-death chaos F*CKERY explosion, and it happening even .1% of the time is too much. |

Same exact thing happened to me multiple times. I also logged out multiple times, restarting after I calmed down because I thought maybe I just didn't notice it, or maybe was just that rare .0001% chance of encountering the "death-mob." Encountered this ability 4 times in a row. Came to the forums thinking maybe I am missing something, or maybe is some sort of bug. Apparently working as intended. Lost my motivation to even log in again. |
