Blade Vortex of the Scythe has either wrong wording or is bugged completely

Blade Vortex of the Scythe is bugged - it says "Swarm of Ethereal blades" - but in fact its only 1 blade for the purpose of Blade Blas of unloading

So I tested the gem to see what it could do and indeed the wording is really strange.
The gem acts like a Blade Vortex which can only have one stack. What's really strange is that I can't see what the gem can offer that's better than the basic Blade Vortex. Scale the cast speed is useless, scale the duration is almost pointless given the low initial duration and you can't scale the AOE. I've tried playing it with a totem, but I end up with a strange bug: the totem does absolutely no damage UNLESS I cast Blade Vortex at least once myself. |

Just got this gem and it's hilariously bad, since it can't stack. Does reducing the duration make the gem not even do any damage? Not at my PC for a bit

Yeah I thought it would stack and the low duration and poor cast speed were like obstacles to overcome, but it just seems totally useless

I agree, something went wrong with this one. The numbers on it just don't make sense. The wording does not explicitly say that the BV will have many stacks, but seems implied.
You cannot even use it for single-target boost when playing normal BV since it replaces the stacks. |

Yep, noticed this as well. The animation for the spell even displays 10 blades so I'm fairly certain it's a bug.

They probably can improve the description, but one blade is by design. "Swarm" is a flavor word that fits visually and thematically, it also helps to avoid naming the number of functional spinning blades.

Agree, Blade Vortex of the Scythe has no use in any of my builds. Blade Vortex regular is still the meta of the two. I guess we can hope for an overhaul, but I think they went the wrong direction with this gem design. I like the 10 blades at once and the pretty animation. Why would they take duration away? I am always struggling to get more duration.
