Latency issue - WinMTR report included
Hi! So I have a problem. When I enter a new instance sometimes I have a totally unplayable latency such as many hundred ms+. If I switch the instance by force opening a new one (by ctrl clicking the entrance) I am able to get a stable one after a few tries. This issue persists for me for years now but I'm willing to not play the game anymore because of it. Not any other game ever produces this issue. I am posting WinMTR logs because that's the suggested aaction. I can only hope someone can fix my issue. Thanks.

" If you're seeing significant differences in latency between instances, you'll need to run a trace against both good and bad instances and post the output here. See MTR and Connectivity Issue Primer for directions. |

Alright. Here is one from a good instance with ~30ms.

Are both traces to the German gateway?
The "good" trace is using Google servers. These are used at the beginning of a league for overflow capacity. Your bad trace seems to have issues when it reaches the Telia (Twelve99) nodes. I remember some people had issues with Telia in the past but I've no idea if they were resolved. Have you tried other European gateways? |

I have the same issue with this being a "bad" host
https://pastebin.com/bQCxREM0 and a good host https://pastebin.com/rHAcyHCW it looks very much like there is substantial package loss in the first instance, but there are also more hops. Last edited by guinesspig#6251 on Dec 9, 2023, 1:09:34 AM

" I have tried Paris, Milan, London, Amsterdam and Frankfurt. All have the same issue. I even tried it with VPN still the same. And as I mentioned I have this phenomenon for years now and not only on league launches. Very annoying especially when I have to burn 2-3 map portals to find a normal latency instance. |

" If it's happening on all European gateways it's likely just bad peering/routing. Have you spoken to your ISP, sometimes they're helpful... Also, have you tried Moscow? |
