Are people actually using Frenzy as a primary skill?
I've only ever seen it used as a utility skill, and the new Frenzy is perfectly fine for that. |

Onslaught isn't that hard to get, but this actually sounds amazing if you can get this gem early on for leveling.

" I use Frenzy as a primary skill with BladeStorm as a back up. I can't see many uses for this variation. I guess it could do some good as a cheap way for a non-frenzy user to get onslaught for the movement buff, but seems like there are easier ways. Losing charges just tanks damage. I don't think in 10 years I've seen a main skill Frenzy build.
It was always a 4 link or something you tap to keep Frenzy Charges up. Kinda like Assassin's Mark. For that use case it's better but it's a rare use case these days since frenzy charges are pretty easy to get for free. I don't even see Armor builds using Blood Rage anymore. I did a rework of Frenzy years ago.

did a frenzy bow slayer in crucible, but it was almost all t1 affixes on top of crucible tree with 40 crit per endurance charge that also carried alot. frenzy like most gems lacks dps. new version lacks even more dps - down to 3,5% multiplier when you average for a crappy 20% incr attack speed.
bring back(and improve) two versions with additional 2/3 targets/arrows and keep the multiplier at 7%. forgot about vengeant cascade - you can basically tripple the dps so its worth playing. Last edited by feral_nature#7076 on Dec 7, 2023, 12:46:18 PM

I can't believe....really can't believe that it doesn't offer "increased effect of onslaught on you" per frenzy charge removed. Dumb-dee-dumb-dumb

"That is a good idea (without the Dumb-dee-dumb part). It still wouldn't make up for the att speed or damage loss on a dedicated frenzy build, but that change would make the gem worth using for more builds. |
