Help upgrading my Boneshatter-Jugg

Hey guys,

Big noob here sharing my first character on PoE standard. Currently farming T16, have been following a few different build guides (Ziz, Binu, etc.). I think I am doing okay but I feel there might be a few easy skill-tree improvements doable on my build and I was hoping this nice community might be able to help before I invest all of the little currency I have :)

I am mostly struggling with sustain on maps/bosses and mana efficiency I think. Dmg could also be better I guess. Unfortunately, I still don't have all my crafting recipes since it's my first char. Especially -7 mana cost on skills for rings would be great, I have Elreon in Research but I guess I was just unlucky so far.

For Atlas I am doing mostly blight, essences & expedition.

I also have a pretty good brass dome, but I am not sure if I can cap res when using it.

I would greatly appreciate all input on items/skills/gems/whateverIcando :)

Do you need both the fortify cluster and fortify support gem?

You are doing pretty good. Some of the right on top great improvements:

Passive Tree:
- You invested Fortify nodes and your Boneshatter already fortify supported. One of them needs to go.
- Your char isn't capped impaling chance. Impale nodes are useless.

You can keep Fortify nodes and impale nodes on tree and switch fortify gem for impale support.

Boneshatter scales by attack speed greatly. Before that you should fix your mana problem. For that, you need "Non-Channelling Skills have (-7–-6) to Total Mana Cost" craft on rings and amulet. You can get that craft from Elron veiled rings. Or just buy it.

Now, you need scale attack speed as much as possible. Despot Axe base with high attack speed is a good start.
