What does "Supported Skills have (0-76)% increased Totem Life" mean in Decoy Totem description?

I'm baffled with the word "supported".
Can someone decipher it for me? Does it mean Decoy Totem can be used as a support gem for other totems? Or does it mean you need to support Decoy Totem with some support gem to get that bonus? Looks like they mistakenly changed it in 3.22 (according to wiki history).
