Will Skill Gem MTXs work with the new transfigured versions of the gem?

This league will introduce a lot of new transfigured gems. Will an MTX for the parent gem work with all the new variants?
For example, will Animate Weapon of Ranged Arms be able to use the 4 Animate Weapon MTXs in the shop? Last bumped on Dec 3, 2023, 10:12:02 PM

We've checked this with the team; microtransactions should be applicable to transfigured gems, as they are the same base type as the original gem. However, in some cases the effect from the microtransactions may differ between the normal and transfigured versions.
