Apple Game_Porting_Toolkit, does it work with POE ?

Has anybody tried to port POE for Mac using the Gameporting toolkit apple has announced this year ?

I am asking this because a friend has big issues (texture issues and crashes) with the native client and I wonder if this would actually work.
