Boneshatter Pulses and Melee Splash Support

This is a wording issue, most likely, but the Melee Splash Support modifier that reads "Supported Skills deal 40% less Damage to surrounding targets" makes me think it could also affect the Pulses from Boneshatter (likely as an error, rather than intentionally).

My reasoning: the other two mods on Melee Splash Support mention the word 'Splash', while the mod above mentions only the supported skill generically. If the Boneshatter Pulses count as being applied "to surrounding targets", and the support skill modifier in question indeed applies to the whole skill instead of just Splashes, this could create an effect where the Pulses have their damage reduced in the same way.

I imagine the counterpoint describing why both the wording is correct and the Pulses aren't affected would involve the idea that the "Damage to surrounding targets" concept exclusively applies to Splash effects, and that the Boneshatter Pulse does not count as a Splash effect.

Why are you playing it with Melee Splash at all? Part of what makes Boneshatter great is the built-in clear.

I am aware of the properties of the skill. This is partially a matter of curiosity regarding the interaction between the two skill gems, and curiosity regarding potential discrepancy within modifiers for skills in general.

That modifier only applies to the splash damage, there is no interaction with pulses from boneshatter.
