I've played PoE for 10 years and never got a Mageblood or Headhunter
Pretty sad, anyone else in the same boat? Chase items just do not exist for me in this game. Kind of think I am done with this nonesense. 1000s of hours for nothing.
PoE 1 is the best. PoE 2 is something. Last bumped on Nov 19, 2023, 1:00:19 AM

you have to chase them the right way. They are actually pretty darn easy to get...provided they are your only goal for a few weeks.
If you are waiting for a raw drop...you are doing it wrong and the odds of that is like getting struck by lightning more than once in your lifetime Other items that don't have div cards are way harder to get ssf Step 1: Create a 100% delirious farmer Step 2: Figure out which maps drop Mageblood / HH cards (and ideally other valuable cards) Step 3: 100% delirious map (all cards), plus scarab and sextant juice for more mobs. You can pretty much guarantee that you'll get 1 card in every 10-20 maps. You do need an already decent build, and enough currency to keep building or buying the deli maps. That's why any map that also gives other valuable cards are the way to go because you can sell them while farming. Last edited by jsuslak313#7615 on Nov 18, 2023, 3:13:41 PM

"How tragic. Especially you not finding a Mageblood when it wasn't even in the game yet. You having played on and off for 10 years is a pretty bad metric and says nothing when it comes to chase items. Last edited by Celestriad#0304 on Nov 18, 2023, 3:13:16 PM

All you need to do right now is farm harvest as one example. Players buy harvest juice all the time and right now late in the league the few players that play go for expensive craft options more often it seems cause they got the money and want nice items, so as soon as you have 15k it sells instantly from my experience from a few days ago.
Farming ~250 div this way doesn'T require any skill is the big advantage here. Normally the price for a mageblood also goes down late in the league. You can also farm the div cards although farming them efficiently is not easy and requires investment(time, build, aswell as map juice). No drops for me when i tried the enraged strongbox thingy for a couple of hundred maps. If you care about standard and don't play that much you can also farm/buy 1-2 div cards each league and you have a mageblood at some point in standard as a longterm goal, certainly doesn'T take more than a year, if it's your longterm goal and you play some. Just don't count on it dropping in maps anytime soon, hehe. Last edited by Strickl3r#3809 on Nov 18, 2023, 3:19:13 PM

^that is hilarious, didn't even think about that.
Also...for years HH was ONLY available when the requisite league tag was on the map. It was not something that could drop from anywhere like it is now. |

Getting them as a pure drop is extremely rare and you shouldn't expect to, an overwhelming majority come from specific sources (div cards and keys basically).
This is like mirror drops tbh, you see shitloads of mirror posts on reddit these days but only like 1/10 of them is an actual drop the rest are league rewards/sanctum etc. Make it a goal and you'll get one |

Ended up buying a headhunter a few years back, honestly not worth it...when you can really benefit from it your build dose not really need it.
Not interested in a mageblood Also still not had a mirror drop even though i've been playing for 11 years Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi
