When do you start farming?

Obviously level 100 is the prime level, but some (most?) of us start farming before that. The question is simple: What level do you personally feel satisfied with before dying/death isn't as important to you as farming the bosses/making money?

I find myself always striving for 100, but that makes me back off content I know that character 'might' not be able to do. I'd just like other's input.

Save up boss invites as you level. When you crest the level, do all your boss invites.

You should always be able to make currency though. If your build can't do that because of constant fear of dying, you have a bad build.

So you don't generate currency at all before you get to x level? If I waited until 99 or 100 to start investing in my maps, I wouldn't make close to the amount of currency that I currently do.

As Temjin mentioned, if you have something difficult or rippy to do (like a boss, difficult map, etc.) then you can wait until you level so you don't lose exp, but you should be farming normally as soon as you can, so you can invest in your gear (which is more important than levels) and become stronger so you die less. That's the softcore mentality.

do you mean scarabs for yellow/corr maps?
because I don't understand how you can get so many chaos orbs back. That's 15+20+"xx" Chaos investment and in the end you only have rubbish that hardly anyone buys most of the time.
or does this only work in legues? because I saw a video where a boy said that he got the most money from "Offering to the Goddess". After the sentence I had tears in my eyes from laughing.

or do you mean these maps with multiple delirium enchantments?

scarabs are part of it. it also involves how you roll your maps, what atlas passives you use, and what sextants (if any) you use. In general, the more you invest the more you get back, but of course for some things it may be tough to sell easily, or the price of a particular material is too high because it's being used for a more efficient/rewarding strategy. It's not limited to league though.

You probably weren't listening very hard to the video, as strats that include running Trials take the node on the tree that gives a chance for an upgraded Offering at the end of the Trial. You don't run the normal ones, just the special ones, and they have a 1/3 chance of rewarding a Gift to the Goddess, which go for a divine or more.
Usually I reach level 95 quite easily, even as glass canon. When I want to level, I'm simply more careful about the map mods I'm running, or go delving.

After level 95 I care about leveling only if it happens to have 30%+ of level completed or if I have my character geared for end game and want to reach level 100.
