Short naive hexblast / bane questions

Hexblast, according to what is stated on the wiki, will remove the curse with the least duration left if the target has multiple hexes on it. If I plan to apply at least two hexes via bane simultaneously, is there a way to figure out which of those hexes will be the one with the least duration?

Am I also correct in assuming that the debuff applied by bane will not stack, but be overridden by the next application of bane?

I also don't fully understand the part about all damage can ignite, freeze or shock with hexblast.
Quoting from the wiki:
"All Damage can Ignite, Freeze, and Shock: this modifier allows all damage types dealt by Hexblast (not necessarily just chaos) to be able to contribute to Ignite, Freeze, and Shock. This does not affect other ailments like Chill, and does not grant any #% chance to actually inflict the ailment. Chance to inflict ailments must be obtained elsewhere, or applied via a critical strike"
Isn't this true of every skill that without a chance to inflict ailments from somewhere, it won't. So is this modifier meaning: if a critical strike lands, or if a chance to cause an ailment is obtained (e.g. if the target was cursed with frostbite), then the chaos damage caused by the hexblast hit (and any other added damage) will cause both freeze, shock and ignite (if critical) or (in the example of frostbite) chance to freeze?

I guess hexblast would remove the first curse that was applied by bane, and bane follows the socket order to apply curses.

see https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Trigger#Trigger_order

bane's damage doesn't stack, you're correct

normally you can only ignite with fire damage, freeze with cold damage and shock with lightning damage. hexblast ignores these limitations and all hexblast damage can inflict these ailments. it's also not limited to chaos damage that's coming from the hexblast, you can have some added lightning damage on hexblast and that lightning damage will also contribute to the ignite, freeze and shock inflicted by hexblast, provided you crit with a hit or have some chance to ignite, freeze and shock

No, the hexes will have the same remaining duration and a random one will be removed.

Hm, that's the exact opposite of what auspexa wrote...
