Shockwave Support Synergy

Shockwave Support has the weapon requirement of Mace, Sceptre, or Staff. These weapon types are tailored to be used with elemental damage. This is due to their location on the skill tree and specific notables. For example, Galvanic Hammer and One With the River. However, Shockwave Support does not inherit the damage conversion of the linked Active skill. Therefore, Shockwave support requires separate damage conversion to be used with a Mace, Sceptre, or Staff which is too much investment for one support gem.

This affects the viability Mace, Sceptre, and Staff conversion Attack skills like Techtonic Slam, Glacial Hammer, Conc. Path, Ice Crash, etc.

I make a shockwave build every league that I play...couldn't disagree more with your assertion that Mace/Sceptre/Staff are tailored to elemental damage. In fact, they are far more tailored to PHYSICAL damage by the tree (especially staff and mace), which can then be converted to any element you choose.

But you are absolutely correct that many SKILLS for those weapons are made to be elemental, and it really sucks that shockwave doesn't support the same conversion as the supported skill, requiring far more investment if you want to make a elementskill + shockwave build.

But don't misrepresent the passive tree with false information. You name Galvanic (and One with the River), but ignore the 3-4 other notables that are purely physical, such as Blacksmith's/Bonebreaker/Skullcracking/Spinecrusher. 4 physical for ONE elemental....yea definitely tailored to elemental damage.
