testing out crop rotation

this was about 5k yellow here, very little investment. Two sextant about 200c for 4 maps, Alch to 80% then vaal. Using Grand Design harvest tree.

Thats not how testing works. You post one picture of above average drops. The truth unfortunately is that crop rotation has a VERY wide spread, and is ultimatively weaker than the far more consistent WP strat.

its still testing regardless doing 16 maps now cost about 9 divine total for the 16 maps. In my opinion its good for target farming a certain color which is what im doing, and its kinda fun. Most of time im getting about 2,500 yellow each map, about 1000 red and couple hundred blue since using blue to boost others.

But I also get a lot more bosses this way so more chances at crystallized life force.

This is small sample size but thru last 4 maps.

ok after 16 maps here is where we stand.

we invested 9 divine and came out with 17 divine, but I want to break it down just into the harvest aspect. For harvest this is what we invested.

Blue Charged Compass: 4 Divine
Harvest on every map: 2 Divine
Magic mobs Density: 1 Divine

Thats pretty much it we just alched to 80% then corrupted, all together we made.


Yellow: 28,611 which is 7.1 divine
Blue: 2,060 which is 94.8 Chaos
Red: 9.076 which is 1.4 Divine

Invested 7 divine and made just over 9 divine, not amazing at all so going to try the old way get rid of Crop rotation. The new charged compass is 10 divine for yellow plants though so hope we make it back lets try 16 maps though.

For me, with full harvest tree, it was better with crop rotation then without it. It's easier to target a specific color. If rng bless you with extra-crop (50% chance per harvest) and an unchosen crop not to wilt (10% chance per crop), it's like winning the lottery - almost guaranteed T4 plant(s) + lots of T3s.

Being able to use blue/purple plants compass to maximize yellow is also good, but with current prices and time spent trading, I'm not sure if it's worth the effort.

Agree with most of this if you know how it works crop rotation is great I have gone back to it.

I target the Blue and Yellow and use purple to pump them up and yea sure sometimes I will get a bad map but the good ones well make up for the bad ones.

Doing 50 map test to see how it goes rolled 50 maps all Alch to 80% the Vaal, lets go through cost of all 50.

Sextants:

Blue lifeforce: 4 divnie for 16 uses X 4 = 16 divine
Grove in every map 2 divine for 16 uses X 4 - 8 Divine
Harbinger 2 divine for 16 uses x 4 = 8 Divine
last sextant I roll random one they go for 3 for divine so get something useful within 3 so thats 4 Divine.

Sextant cost - 36 Divine
Scarabs to boost pack size - 2 Divine

Thats really all the costs so total invested 38 divine.
