Hrimsorrow + Reap, Corrupting fever - what happens with the DOT?

I'm wondering what happens to the converted cold damage for reap...

I expect that the physical damage from the initial hit is converted but what happens to the DOT effect? Does it disappear because the initial hit was cold? Does it apply as DOT cold?

Also, what about corrupting fever? Does it still work if you're converting your initial hit to elemental damage?

Can't convert dot so they'll still do phys dmg.
Now if you have something that makes you unable to do phys dmg then the dot goes away.

So to be clear....

The initial hit from the reap spell will get converted to cold dmg and then its dot will continue to do physical?
