war banner and minions

Not sure about the wording here: The war banner affects both me and my minions, since those are my allies. But will minion kills generate "stages", or do these ONLY come from the kills I (never) make?

Since it specifies "when you Kill an Enemy" (emphasis mine), it will only work if you kill them.
