Snipers mark and mark on hit support wont work

Hi i have added both gems to my gloves and even when i have no auras etc and full mana its still dark on my spell bar and it wont cast ? is there something i am doing wrong snipers mark will work with other support gems though

You dont need to manually activate it.
It works automatic as soon as you hit an enemy. Im bad at math.

I dont even have the ability to use snipers mark its greyed out and doesnt allow me to use it when i link it with mark on hit,as soon as i take mark on hit away the snipers mark lights up and allows me to use it

You don't use it. You hit a rare/unique with an attack and sniper's mark will automatically happen.

oh ok because if i use snipers mark on its own i have to click on a target and the green sign shows above the tartget are you saying that when i add mark on hit it does it automatically

Why do you need mark on hit support if you don't know what it's for? Have you even read its description?
