Atlas tree help

Hello guys, new to the game and it has been 1week that i have been playing this game. I have unlocked the end game part where we do maps but there is a thing which idk how to upgrade and it is called ATLAS TREE.

I am following necromancer srs build and the POB is only telling us the skill tree. I am so clueless on where to find the atlas tree for this character and I have 15skill points stack which needs to be upgraded. Please help me out. Thank you.

edit: also i have found atlas tree heatmap on the website called poeninja but idk how to use that website to upgrade my atlas tree. [if you can help me out here, i would be grateful]

The atlas tree is more or less choosing content you like to run. As a new player its probably worth it to spec as many possible over the league (note this will cost currency to respec the atlas tree but its a learning experience) to see what mechanics you like.

There are a lot of atlas tree guides out there if you want some help exploring it though.

thank you for the quick reply. Can you at least help me out with the exploring, like i literally have no idea where to start to look for.
If you hover over a group of passives it will tell you what category its under (examples being strongboxes, shrines, essence, breach among a number of others) and it will also temporarily highlight the other passive clusters associated with it if you click the center circle.

Id type those keywords into the search bar at poewiki.net and it will give you more info on what a piece of content is and does. From there you can make your way towards the passives that sound interesting to you.

I would recommend (if you aren't rich) to try out each of the types of content you see on the atlas first, without speccing them. See which you like. Don't worry about how profitable it is for now, just focus on which content you think is fun to run. After you've tried each of them, then spec your atlas tree based on the content you felt you enjoyed.
Above advice is good. Try out random stuff you come across in maps, and see what you like. And keep in mind that all these mechanics get better when you spec into them on the Atlas tree.

IMO, first priority is to get up in map tiers by completing different maps, and for that you must get them to drop. Grabbing some early "map nodes" may therefore be wise. Maybe something like this? You can play around on this site btw, before making actual changes in-game. Highly recommend it.

This grabs the map node to the right (Shaping the Mountains), an extra Kirac mission per day, and then you have more map nodes further north if you want to grab that. Personally I like to grab the essence wheel close to the starting point of the tree, but that's personal preference ofc. It's nice to get them for crafting, that's all, and I like to self-craft stuff.

If you happen to like Delve (I do), you can take the path through Mad Devotion instead, to increase the chance to get Niko missions.

There are basically as many Atlas trees out there as there are players. Which is why people recommend to spec into the league mechanics you actually like. But just as more complete examples, here are two trees I've used this league.

This is what I used for quite a while. It focuses on essences, expedition, harvest and abyss.

Abyss was disappointing, once again, so I specced out of that and into bosses instead. That was yesterday so am just trying it out, but I like it so far. You need to complete the entire Atlas, all 115 maps, plus a few Maven invitations, to get enough points to fill out the tree to this degree. Which is why it's important early on to grab map nodes that increase the chance for maps to drop as 1 tier higher (ie, tier 6 instead of 5, for example).
