Purity of fire with mixed increased effect and more effect
Hi,
I'm using a lvl 23 Purity of Fire with 53% increased effect and 19% more effect from Supreme Ego. This results in my PoB calculating a x1.82 aura effect multiplier (1.53*1.19), resulting in +9% to max fire resistance. However, my real, ingame max res goes from 81% to 89%. So what goes wrong ? I suspect the game takes both mods into account in sequence ? lvl 23 purity gives +5%, with 53% inc effect 7%, then 19% more of 7% is 8% ? I want to be sure how to proceed before I cover myself with tatoos of the flock ! Last bumped on Oct 9, 2023, 3:42:17 AM

When I imported your character into PoB, I only saw it calculating 1.7 aura effect (1.43 * 1.19).
You may have allocated a passive in your PoB that you haven't yet allocated in-game: the Reservation mastery for 10% increased effect of Auras from your skills on you. Last edited by Jadian#0111 on Oct 3, 2023, 10:31:19 AM

I removed it after I saw my fire res was still 89% even with the mastery allocated. I wish it was that :(

Bump.
I still haven't found any reason I'm certain of that explains why I don't have +9% max fire res with 53% increased aura effect and 19% more effect. |

So, if someone ever wondered, it appears that the game determines your aura effect from base + increased aura effect, rounds everything down, then multiplies by the more aura effect from Supreme Ego (and rounds down again).
Considering a lvl 23+ purity of fire, only the usual +20% increased effect thresholds matter, regardless of Supreme Ego. |
