New Zealand Maori culture.

Hi, I'm from New Zealand & wondering if GGG contribute anything to the indigenous peoples of our land.

Seeing as though trial of ancestors has a lot of significant Maori influence in this league, by the way of NPCs & building structures.

I would not know the Maori existed if I didn’t play this game so they’re definitely making the Maori culture more famous.
Contribute meaning financially to some indigenous charity.

You're absolutely right, and that's awesome. I still feel a small portion of purchases in this League should be donated to a Maori charity.
It is massive the amount of Maori designs in this trial.

Just curious is all 😊

No idea if GGG have done that, but it would be a good move. I've heard many have it bad both in Australia and NZ, due to various policies, and ofc the original colonisation by "the white man". GGG isn't some small basement indie, but have no idea if they are doing stuff like that.
*Warning* This is going to sound incredibly insensitive and potentially triggering:

Why should they?

Technically, EVERY business in the world borrows from somebody's culture in some way. Even something like McDonald's borrows from cultures when they introduce certain specials and themed meals and such. Other companies borrow technologies originally developed by others in different countries. Still more companies use imagery, ideas, and actors in their ads that don't ONLY relate to their product and completely shut out cultural influences. Most of what we wear, see, and do is based on some culture we probably know nothing about...

No one is required, nor should they be required to give BACK their hard earned profits if they don't choose to simply because they happen to have culturally specific content. They shouldn't be INSULTING the cultures or anything like that (except if its comedy or pretty obvious satire), but its just such a common practice to utilize cultural influences, even more so in creative products such as games, books, movies, etc.

I am not against charity. I am not against being generous. But I am against this sort of back-handed pseudo-accusatory charity baiting. Businesses aren't charities: they exist to make money.

Then maybe don't say it.

Because it's a good thing to do.

And, what, do you think it would be a bad thing for the world at large if McDonalds gave more money away? Weird example to choose. Won't somebody think of the megacorporations???

Nobody said anything about them being required to.
