Bad Connection

As the title says, I have a poor connection. Contacted the ISP and have been told that the connection is fine (I imagine that is just a generalization of the overall connection). It doesn't happen all the time, just when I am connected to certain instances/locations. Yes, I play on WiFi. Due to having animals who like chewing cables :(
Any help on how to resolve the issue would be great. Below is WinMTR, specs, etc. If more info is needed lemme know. Thanks in advance!

SPECS:

CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X
RAM: 16GB
GPU: RTX 3070
STORAGE: SSD

Your internet connection per se probably is fine, but your WinMTR shows massive latency between your PC and router, more than likely because of the WiFi.

You really should use a wired connection. Which animals like eating the cables?

And do reboot your entire modem/router - power it off and leave it off for a good few minutes before powering on again, to force a reset with your connection to the ISP.

Mmmmmmmmmmm I was worried that may be the case... May as well give wired connection a go then....

I have cats. So, if there are any suggestions as to a cable installation that could avoid them, that would be appreciated :)
Catnip/catmint in an area away from the cables, or distract them with scrunched up sweet/lolly wrappers of the slightly metallic kind :)

First off, you should always, no matter where you think the problem is occurring, do a power cycle on the router...you would be surprised at how often turning it off then on again works.

Awesome! Thanks for the suggestions! I'll give them a go and hopefully resolve the issues :)
Unfortunately the WinMTR log (thanks for providing it, btw) is a bit of a shitshow; the biggest problem is packet loss right from the very start of the file, but there are also significant latency spikes as well. If an Ethernet cable isn’t practical due to pets, would a powerline adapter kit be feasible?

Wireless connections don’t shield your traffic from interference, so really any alternative at all is likely to be more reliable. Powerline adapters won’t be as good as a true Ethernet connection, but at the end of the day, all we can do is settle for the best option that’s realistic.
