Vaal domination completely bugged, what is happening???

I have gone in and been unable to use Vaal domination in 3 separate maps.

What on earth has happened? I was playing completely fine with Vaal Domination on my left click for hours on end.

Now I can't use the skill at all? I change the skill to different keys, I change the item it is socketed in, I log out and back in, I close the game, nothing works.

When this bug happens, it also prevents the use of some of my other skills as well.

Sometimes I can use Vaal domination and then all of a sudden I can't anymore.

my skills were rearranged one time, unable to be changed, reverted upon leaving the map, and did not change upon re-entering.

This is extremely frustrating after spending dozens of divine orbs.

"Skills were rearranged" and "Cannot use my melee skill" makes it sound like you hit the keybind for swapping weapon sets, equipping your two wands instead.

The default keybind being X.

IIRC the default keybind for toggling Always Highlight is Z, so it's understandable to accidently weapon swap while trying to toggle highlighting on/off.

I tested if I could use Vaal domination on Left-click with my weapon swap and I can, which is even more confusing.

I swapped back to my main weapon and I still can't.

I then took my main weapon, and put them in my "II" weapon slot.

I can use Vaal domination with left-click again this way.

My suspicion then is that this bug has something to do with the "I" weapon slot, I think?

Nope, I play with Prism Guardian on and that would have turned off all of my Auras, which it didn't & does not do.

I also didn't say anything about using my normal melee skill.

I said I was using VAAL domination on left-click, and moving around completely fine until the bug presented itself.

Weapon swap doesn't prevent movement, it does not prevent selecting skills to change them, and it doesn't prevent Vaal domination from being cast if I have the souls available.

Oh god I'm the dumbest exile in Wraeclast.

It isn't a bug, but somehow Vaal domination toggled "Always attack without standing" in the middle of my maps.

I hope this helps anyone else who may be having similar troubles.
