New Keystone: Celestial Pact

Celestial Pact

Life Recovery from Flasks applies to Energy Shield as well. Life Leech has no effect.

My reasoning behind this:

1. There is no viable keystone for an ES+Health hybrid. Ghost Reaver+CI is for ES, and pumping health nodes is for Health. An ES+Health build is simply bad for tanking.

2. Everyone gets life leech. There is literally no alternative. This Keystone makes use of potions instead, and its downside makes it pretty much impossible to use with Vaal Pact (for both thematic and balance reasons).

What do you think?

Although a "good" alternative to Vaal Pact is creative, I don't think it's what the game wants or needs. The distinctiveness of ES relative to life is already very, very blurred, and this would just make it more so.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.
Nice photoshop, but I agree that blurring the lines between ES and HP isn't a good idea.
hmmm this needs a litle tweakin how about it preventing chaos damage from ignoring ES and life leech has no effect so you can combine it with zealoth's oath instead?

and i do agree we need a litle more celestial and light type of nodes made possible for us most of the nodes are quite dark and evil ish in nature.

OOOOOR you could just totally ignore the 2 posts above me and ad energy shield to life much like eldritch battery. (this could work because the regen of ES would not kick in after 6 seconds. and life leech would ofc be ineffective

Even with this hybrid builds will be inferior to pure life or pure ES builds. The reason for this is very simple. If you have stacked your gear up with life, you take 8% life nodes and your total "hit point" pool benefits from the node. Likewise if you have stacked up ES gear every 8% ES node benefits your whole pool.

A hybrid build has to take 2 passives instead of one, to get the same benefit. If you want to increase your pool by 8%, you need an 8% life node AND an 8% energy shield node.

Min-maxers are therefor never going to do hybrid builds, even with your new keystone.

But gear can have both ES and Life. It isn't a simple either-or scenario.
As a keystone this is a horrible idea. As a unique mod on a flask perhaps...

A flask is a lot easier to obtain than a keystone. Care to explain your logic on why this is a horrible idea?

frankly speaking it feel the cons is too high for this keystone it in itself is a nice idea but for it to be feasible it would need to block chaos damage from ignoring ES otherwise you just shoot yourself in the foot

This Keystone is aimed at an HP and ES hybrid build, so you still have protection from chaos damage.

Just your suggestion alone as a keystone is almost as good as CI, without the downsides.

If you feel the con is too high, please keep in mind that while life leech can't be used, life gain on hit is still usable.
