Bladestorm and blind

I have 30% chance to blind with bladestorm but it seems like it barely applies blind. And when monsters do get blinded, they don't seem to stay blinded for the duration of 4 secs. I switch to cyclone and everything seems to work normally.

actually I'm talking about the blood sand storms. Does this mean that blood storms can't actually blind?

Since you can only in Blood Stance or Sand Stance, you can't have both blood and sand bladestorm (or you can by quickly switching stance and create bladestorm)

nvm. I thought it was a bug, but it turns out that bladestorm has a different visual effect for blind. There's a brown effect on top of the monster to show that it's blinded by bladestorm, however my totem also inflicts blind which uses a different effect (the usual white sparkling effect). When my totem inflicts a blind, a sparkling effect goes up, then I overwrite it with the bladestorm blind, looking like the blind disappeared. Bloodstorm can indeed blind and inversely, Sandtorm can bleed as well.

Yeah but bloodstorms increase the effect.
