How do people immediately know when you listed something?

Just something I've always been curious about. I hardly ever sell anything, but I've seen posts where people talk about getting instant offers. Are all these people using some 3rd party tool to monitor trade? Is this allowed?

I listed a Voidborn Reliquary Key for 2 divine and instantly got bombarded by dozens of offers. I looked it up earlier and saw that there are a bunch of them listed for 2 divine, so that's what I went with. Did I just mess up?

Voidborn is 2.2 divines you didn't undercut yourself too much.

It's a page that you can only use manually, no? I've even seen it time for 60 seconds once because I was searching too fast. Hard to believe that so many people were all manually searching for that one item all at that exact moment.

you search a item then set it for live search it will ding new listings.

Voidborn key is a popular item it's not surprising.
