Remove "Life" tag from Vis Mortis
Vis Mortis has "Minions have 20% Reduced Maximum Life" that prevents the Life Mastery "15% increased Maximum Life if there are no Life modifiers on Equipped Body Armour".
I don't think this is intended, and the tag should be adjusted accordingly. Last bumped on Sep 16, 2023, 11:50:09 PM

All life tags on uniques are intended. Whether you think it should be is irrelevant.

" Eh....while this may be technically true, masteries came AFTER the introduction of Vis Mortis. It is highly likely that "old" unique tags cause issues with the "new" mastery system in unintended ways. Tags are adjusted all the time to react to "newer" additions to the game. This is a perfect example of that: minion life, especially NEGATIVE minion life, shouldn't on principle disallow the use of the life mastery node that doesn't deal with minions. It makes no sense and they have exactly zero connection to each other. Perfect proof: the "minion life support" gem has the tags: minion, support. It does NOT have a life tag. Certain rares do have "Minion life" include the life tag which is already a problem as it is inconsistent: but there is more of a reason to include that tag on a rare item than there is to include it on a unique item mod. Poor Vis Mortis. Was a very sweet armor once.

^I think its better now than it ever was in the past...except for specter builds. The unholy might buff on kill wasn't great for many minion builds, especially when you can get that same mod directly from teh passive tree. Prior to even that version, all this armor offered was +1 specter.
Now, the armor can be used with ANY minion build, and it provides more damage than it ever did before. Sure, it lost the +1 specter which was HUGE, but its currently much more flexible and damaging. Outside of max specters, it always fell short in the same ways it does now. |

" Interesting. |

" I actually think its similar to how Bronn's Lithe works for Cyclone builds. A good middle ground high-damage option for minion builds, but doesn't hold a candle to true endgame rares. Last edited by jsuslak313#7615 on Sep 16, 2023, 1:41:32 PM

" Mods that modify life get a life tag, that's a simple and consequent rule throughout the game. Starting to individually remove the life tag from stuff that actually modifies life would be a really stupid idea from a design perspective. Certainly not something they should do just because of 1 mastery that isn't even that much better than your average 10% life notable. |

If it modifies anythings life in any way it gets a life tag. Im really not sire where this argument is coming from.

"This is not "proof" of anything, because there is no life tag on gems. Not on Life Leech, not on Life Gain On Hit, not on Damage On Full Life, Lifetap, or anything else that could quite reasonably have such a tag if it existed. Gem tags and item mod tags are separate. |
