A Suggestion For Bigger Inventory Space in PoE and Gear Question - New Player from Diablo IV
September 14, 2023
Attention: Grinding Gear Games / Devs Hi All! I am sharing some suggestions for a better gaming experience for all PoE players, especially new players like myself coming from the disappointing, broken, buggy fail that is Diablo IV. I also have a question regarding character appearances in the game. I found out about Path of Exile for the first time after looking up similar games to Diablo 3, due to my huge disappointment with Diablo IV, and I must admit I am happy I found Path of Exile. It is refreshing, and PoE 2 looks even better. I been a gamer for over 18 years, and still love my gaming when I get a chance to play. World of Warcraft (WoW) and Halo are still my all time favorites to this day. But discovering new games like Path of Exile is always nice and refreshing. I'm a noob in PoE so I am just learning about the game and I definitely enjoy playing it. With that said, here is my experience with Path of Exile so far, and my suggestions on how PoE and even PoE 2 can improve in some areas for all players. Suggestions to Improve and Expand Inventory Space in Path of Exile: 1) The biggest issue I discovered in Path of Exile is the inventory space, not the Stash space / storage. Player Inventory is way too limited and small for players, especially when one piece of loot takes up so much space. I found myself running back and forth too many times just to sell loot to get materials as I progress and level in the game. Every 10 minutes or so, and even after one fight with enemies my inventory gets full, which is rather ridiculous for any game. I find myself throwing away loot way too often because my inventory keeps getting full every 5 to 10 minutes after battles. That is not fun. It's rather disrupting when I am trying to focus on leveling. I understand PoE came out in 2013, but after all this time does anyone notice how frustrating this is? Lol! My suggestion to Grinding Gear Games and the Dev Team is to expand the inventory space for all PoE players, or at least offer players the option to buy additional space to at least triple the size it is now. I would pay for that extra feature, just like buying extra stash space when it's needed. But inventory space should definitely be at least double the size it is now at the very minimum to make the game experience in Path of Exile a lot more smooth for all players. Also, for Path of Exile 2, which I look forward to playing, the inventory should be expanded to at least double or triple the size of the current inventory space for sure. Leaving the inventory with such limited space and no ability to expand it or buy additional inventory space would be very disappointing, as I noticed I am not the only one who notices this issue in the game. As for the loot, gear and weapons, you should consider having them take up less space in the inventory, because the way it is now it's not good at all. Nevertheless, everything else seems great in PoE so far, and I am enjoying the experience playing the game. But for now, as I level up and make progress in the game, I simply have to ignore or throw away lots of loot drops to prevent my inventory from getting full in such short periods of time during game play. Not to mention, I don't like having to go back into town every 5 or 10 minutes because my inventory is full, and then having to sell everything to free up space in my inventory again. It's rather disrupting and very annoying lol. The only solution that seems to work while I'm leveling in PoE is to ignore loot as much as possible except rares, but even that fills up my inventory pretty quickly while playing lol. So I will focus on leveling for now and avoid loot drops as much as possible until I get to max level. That is the main issue so far, and I believe PoE / Grind Gear Games can improve on this big time, and I hope they do. That would be awesome! :-) Suggestion For Account Wide Stash Sharing For All Players Characters: 2) I created a second character on my PoE account but noticed I can't share my stash with other characters I create in PoE unless they are in the same "League" and that is unfortunate. I suggest PoE allow all players to have the ability to share their stash and items in it regardless of League status. That would be much better. Suggestion On Health and Mana Potions: 3) On the health and mana potions, I noticed there are 5. I think it would be much better and more efficient to have only two (2) instead of five (5). The less buttons to press for health and mana, the better game play experience for the player, which would allow players to have a better focus on the battle with enemies instead of looking to choose which of the five (5) potions to use. Something to consider for Path of Exile 2 as well. Creating a good balance for the two (health and mana) potions in the game can be done, because having four options for this is a bit much, especially when a player may accidently press the wrong potion button out of the five during a battle. Reducing this to two (2) buttons for health and mana would be much better for all players. Last but not least: Question on Character Gear and Weapon Appearance: 4) Is there any way for players to change and save the cosmetic appearance of their character for gear and weapons that a player gets from loot drops in the game? Or you can only change your appearance from buying cosmetics from the PoE shop? It would be great to allow players the ability to save at least 2 different gear and weapon appearances from loot in the game. I am not sure if this is available or not since I am new to Path of Exile, so any info on it would be appreciated. That is all for now! I will post again about my experience with PoE in the future after I reach max level. :-) Cheers and Happy Gaming All! - JJ - Every new day is a chance to start fresh.
