Avoid Shock, Tempest Shield and Stormshroud
I would like to know this:
- if I accumulated 100% shock avoidance (using tree and items) AND - activate Tempest Shield (gives me Shock immunity) will Stormshroud work? If mechanics is coded that 100% avoidance is separate state from shock immunity gained from items / skills, then it should work. If shock immunity makes other things (like Stormshroud) ignore the value of shock avoidance then it will never work. I don't have currency to invest to test this out, maybe someone knows / can test it. Last bumped on Sep 8, 2023, 4:38:52 AM

When it came to slayer immunity to reflect, it was internally translated to 100% reduced reflect damage.
Maybe some other immunities are handled similarly (see: Yugul mastery changed from immune to freeze to 100% reduced chance to be frozen or something like that). HOWEVER, the engine may still discern between actual % chance modifiers on items and converting an immunity line into the 100%. Still, can't test either, too expensive jewel. |

Immunity and avoidance are separate stats.
"Maybe shock immunity makes incoming shocks ingore the value of shock avoidance, but it certainly doesn't make modifiers that scale from shock avoidance ignore the value. "No sure what do you mean, but Slayer's "Cannot take Reflected Physical Damage" is not "100% Reduced Reflected Physical Damage" either internaly or externaly. It used to be "50% Reduced Reflected Physical Damage" many leagues ago. Last edited by MonaHuna#6449 on Sep 7, 2023, 10:16:46 PM

" Yes, Stormshroud will work. That setup is precisely what I had last league, and I was immune to all elemental ailments. |
