How I fixed my latency issues.
For the past 3-4 days I've been experiencing spikes from 50ms which is my usual latency to 5k 10k, constantly.
Checked for packet losses everything looked fine. Tested a few other games, everything was fine. Saw someone mention routing, went and bought NordVPN gave it a try, and was still spiking. Quite annoyed, I decided to delete the windows partition and reinstall it. Since I only keep Windows it doesn't take that long to set it up. Reinstalled PoE and the lag was gone. Decided to turn on my Gigabyte center for a few updates, and it found an AMD Ryzen driver, and an intel chipset driver. Once it installed them, oh dear lord the lag was back. Decided to format the drive again and redo the whole thing. Same thing happened. With clean windows and fresh PoE, latest Nvidia drivers my latency was back to normal. Installed the things I mentioned above, again the huge spikes were back. I repeated this process 4 times, just to make sure this is the cause. I'm on a b550 chipset with Gigabyte b550 Aourus pro motherboard and Ryzen 5 5600x with rtx 3070. I suspect one of these last patches, messed something up with certain chipsets with certain drivers because only a handful of us are having issues, it's not related to our internet connections, and if I was able to replicate it 4 times, it definitely a software thing and not an internet connection thing. I urge anyone that has similar configuration and has been experiencing these issues, and hasn't been able to solve it, to give this a try, and let only windows update install w/e it needs, plus a video driver and not add anything from their motherboard vendor or update any chipset drivers. I also hope if GGG are reading, to try to replicate this on a similar machine and pinpoint the issue. Last edited by xecutable1#4512 on Sep 3, 2023, 10:43:20 PM Last bumped on Sep 4, 2023, 7:48:07 AM

Sounds like you've discovered Gigabit Lite - Green Ethernet :)

It worked thought, for the past 4-5 hours since I wrote this, it's been stable.
Things I've tried that did not work were: reinstall the game, remove w/e gigabyte installed, clear the shader cache, vpn routing, different servers even in different continents, calling my isp asking them to double check everything from my house to their servers, disabling firewalls and anything that can be an obstacle... probably more things I'm forgetting. I'm also on a AMD 5xxx series processor with a B550 MoBo and started to experience odd lag spikes today, I've done some testing related to internet connection and stability and I'm sure the issue is not on my ISP end. I also hope someone from GGG is able to look into these weird lag spikes for certain chipsets.
Sometimes I'm doing a map just fine, I go out to trade something and then go back into the map just to be faced with 20k+ (literally) ms lag, is like porting into some instances at the wrong time completely messes up the game, it doesn't matter if it worked fine literally 20 seconds ago. I've tried playing in lockstep and predictive connection in Texas and DC servers and no matter the variables the issue is always there. I'd be very greatful if someone from GGG could look into this problem, from what I read in the forums it seems like is not just a handful of people but quite a good chunk of players have been experiencing weird connection issues this weekend. I will try the suggested above, thanks. @LilyGrshmn ★

I'm running on a x570 aorus elite mobo, 5900x cpu and rtx 2070. I have also been experiencing issues just like this, as well as a constant 150 ping while in hideout. It feels like I've been routed to the singapore servers when I'm in Australia. Below is my winMTR info if it's helpful to anyone
