Varunastra's unique feature does not work

Hi.
A unique item Varunastra has a line states:

"Counts as all One Handed Melee Weapon Types"

so, despite being a sword , you can use shockwave support with it - this is understandable and correct.

However, you cannot activate shockwave support and relese shockwave if you use Reave as activation attack.

Maybe I don't know something but here's how I see this problem:

Line from Shockwave support:
Supported Skills can only be used with Maces, Sceptres or Staves
- Supported skill is Reave
- Varunastra is Mace
- Restriction for Reave useage is not applied - we can USE Reave and attack with it


Line from Reave skill gem:
Only works with Daggers, Claws, and One-Handed Swords.
- Varunastra is One-Handed Sword
- Restriction for Reave useage is not applied - we can USE Reave and attack with it


So, in general, Reave and Shokwave support gems, each has a line that makes it impossible to use an attack(supported attack for shockwave) if requirements are NOT met.
Nither Reave nor Shockwave support has ANY line stating that this two gems cannot correctly work together. The only thing they should do is to prevent a possibility to press an attack button on a supported skill if wearpon-specific requirements are not met.

Whole point of Varunastra is to make it possible for Reave to activate shockwave. Othervise it is much not as fun(

Sounds disingenuous to say that this specific interaction is the whole point of the unique.

Varunastra been out since 2.2 shockwave support wasn't even added until 3.7

This is intended. I don't like the way it works because it would allow interesting combinations like nightblade support on boneshatter, but it is what it is

Well, of course.
I wasn't meaning that only shockwave+reave is the sole pupose of Varunastra's existence. Rather that things and cominations like this one is the purpose of it. I just figured out only one such thing yet. There is many more for sure.
