What are the Trinity support gem's status icon colors?

Hi. I'm compelled to make this my first forum post because I'm tearing my hair out looking for an answer.

The Trinity support gem displays a status icon in your HUD when its effect is active. The icon represents your accumulated resonance in each element. The colors it displays are blue, red, and white.

The game uses red for fire, blue for ice, and yellow for lightning in all item damage text.

Forgive me please for being utterly confused by this absolutely silly UX inconsistency, but as far as the Trinity resonance status meter is concerned, which color is which? Is ice blue and lightning white, or is it inexplicably even more inconsistent, with ice white and lightning blue?

I can't tell which element I'm lacking in my build because I can't tell what the icon means. The colors aren't documented anywhere. I think I am reading my damage output from the linked attack skill on my character sheet correctly, but I can't be sure because the colors are so needlessly confusing.
