Tibbs' Wealth?

I had a quest from Tibbs where he gave me an item. However, not sure what to do with it. I read that you are supposed to leave it when you do another contract or something (even though that is not intuitive at all and makes no sense). Regardless, I did another contract and dropped it on the ground where you normally steal for a contract. However, after completing the heist Tibbs has another quest marker and is trying to give me this stupid POS bac into my inventory.
Can anyone explain what this item is for or how to use it or is this bugged? Last bumped on Aug 27, 2023, 11:53:26 PM

Tibbs' Wealth is given to you by Tibbs in order for you to complete his quest contract Opal's Jewels.

Thanks. I randomly figured this out while completing quests to clear my inventory. It was just weird because somehow I had the quest prior to getting the item so when I got the item I wasn't associating it with the quest I already had.
