PoE 2 cosmetic transmogs

I think it could be interesting if the cosmetics were handled a bit differently this time.
Maybe you can buy a transmog that you can use all the times you want on an item by using a currency item you farm/find. The transmog changes that particular item permanently and then you can trade it to other players if you want.
If the currency item is rare enough (you can give one when you buy the transmog if necesary) it could allow other players who might not be able to purchase the transmogs to access them from other players in the form of that item in particular.
I don't think it would really affect the game in a pay to win aspect either since even if non transmog items sell for less, if you just need the stats you can do with regular ones. If you also allow players to give nicknames to items (or the classic D2 personalize) it might create some interesting community created uniques, kind of.
