Please steal this idea from D4, and put in POE2
I stream D4 with my son, and I am able to do that thanks to their couch co-op. But I would much rather be playing POE with my son instead. Please put in a couch co-op in POE2 for us PS5 players.
I really want to show my son the world of path of exiles and be able to play it with him. Thank you in advance, we really excited for POE2. Fa1her_n_2on_gamers Last bumped on Aug 26, 2023, 8:13:16 AM

Couch? Are you talking about crossplaying or what it is called? PS5 at same server as PC?

poe was designed from ground up to be played single player.
having a splitscreen would be great but i think it would take away a lot of resources to implement. i'd rather have the game be improved in other aspects. also, i would add. poe can have 1001 projectile and effects on screen. visual clarity is bad and players have always asked to be able to see more of the screen. ggg is not letting players see more of the screen (zoomed further out), so if somehow ggg implements split screen, you will have severely limited screen area. on top of that the 1001 visual effects can sometimes lag player pcs to the point many players are asking to reduce/disable effects. this is on a pc. ps5 would be worse split screen would definitely be the worst option for poe. i would rather play in turns or save up and buy a ps4 to play with him on a separate tv [Removed by Support]

It’s not a split screen in couch co-op. You and the person you are playing with can only get so far apart from each other, and the view will zoom out some as you move further apart. It works really well in D4, and is a lot of fun. This is the only way I’d be able to play poe2 with my son so I really hope they can implement it. We play on a PS5, and I also play POE on the PS5.
I don’t think them implementing a couch co-op would take away from other aspects of the game, the devs take a lot of care putting out a really well made and fun to play game, so I don’t think it would hurt the rest of the game for them to add this. |
