battlemage + descrate

Hoping this is a bug and not be being blind.

I've been playing with a bunch of shouts and I'm wondering why desecrate doesn't work with battlemage cry. Is there a line of the skill that I'm missing that makes it unavailable?

This is pretty much the only thing from making my general cry setup smooth (and using up a skill slot)
I've tried setting the gem lvl to 1 and still nothing.

Attacks used have been smite and dominating blow.

Never used Battlemage's Cry myself before, but looking at the gem and your current setup, I think the spell has to be linked to Battlemage's Cry, rather than linking the spell to the attack.

You have two copies on Battlemage's Cry socketed, one linked to no spell and one linked to Grace (which isn't a valid spell for the warcry). If you swap Grace with Desecrate, and make sure to use the Battlemage's Cry linked to Desecrate, it should work.

heya. I took it off of the link to battlemage cry because it disabled the skill from use, but would not use the skill automatically on hit from an exerted attack.
Basically don't look at the current links.]

Just tried with a different skill to see if it requires something that hits. Does not use EK when battlemage is used with EK.
Considering no one uses this skill for its intended purpose, I wonder how long ago this broke ._.
It shows the exerted effect, disables the skill gems, but nothing happens on hit.

ffs I had two battlemage gems. Nothing wrong here.
