Lost atlas progression in ruthless?

I have lost the majority of my atlas points in the base ruthless league upon the new league launching. Was at about 100/115 now I have 5/115 and 11 points available for allocation.

Does this always happen upon new leagues? I don't usually play in the standard league so I'm not familiar. I've read some threads for previous leagues saying if you complete a T16 map you will regain the progression, is this true? Or does the atlas have to be completed every time there is a new league even if you are not playing the league?

Aside from unique maps, yes, Atlas in Standard reverts to an uncleared state when a new league starts and the map series changes.

If you have maps from a previous map series (aka legacy maps), you can run one of those for instant Atlas progression. Clearing a Map Objective in a legacy map will auto-complete all maps on the current Atlas below that tier, assuming Ruthless handles this the same as the normal mode.

Ok, thanks for that information Jadian. So assuming this is the same as in normal mode, does this only work on the first legacy map I run? For example if I run a T12 map and get the progression up until T12, then later I run a legacy T16, will I then get the remaining maps up until t16? I might do some testing in standard first so I understand it. Certainly happy if there is a way to do this and not loos the progression. I guess it is important to hold on to a few maps at the end of leagues to make sure you have the option of updating?

I've managed to get my T7 maps back but higher levels is more of a problem. The highest map I had was a t14, I alch/vaal so I could retrieve the bonuses but it changed into a non legacy map and thus I only got the completion for a single T15. I have a few T12's I can try but even if the same doesn't repeat I will loose the majority of my red map completion. What is the benefit of this system over just transferring the existing completion? Is there a way to get the completion back using non-legacy maps?


So I've dropped some T16's off the T15 I've run, I corrupt them, sit the league duration out and wait till they become legacy, then run them during next league and get my map completion back? This surely can't be the mechanic??
