Introducing "Increased Experience Gain" Support Gem

Hello to Chris and everyone else reading this thread.

I've been in this game for quite some time and I really believe that this game and its many features are incredible!

I've come up with a gameplay idea which I'm sure you'll all like!

Introducing the new support gem "Increased Experience Gain":

I've read several threads concerning the need for better experience farming for lategame and I think I've come up with a great solution to this.

"Increased Experience Gain" is the support gem that players can use if they need the extra boost in experience gain without having to get certain items.

My idea is:

"Increased Experience Gain" should scale from 5-10% experience gain to around 25-30% (this scaling might vary based on balance questions)

The skill gem is a support gem so it has to be combined with your main damage-dealing skill gem to get the increased experience, meaning that it will work like the increased rarity support gem.

The gem will be grey-coloured just like the Portal gem and the reason for this is that all players should have the opportunity to use the gem and if the support gem was a specific colour, it would mean that certain character types would benefit better.

Please support this idea!

No. I think people forget they make it hard to level because they don't want you hitting top level already. Games not even done yet new higher level content is coming. You level slow now because you can only do level 77 stuff at best. No need for this.

I only agree if this affects Skill Gem EXP, and not character EXP.
And to be honest, it makes sense, doesn't it?

Why would a Support Gem affect you directly, anyway?
They affect other Gems.

What you want is Passive Gems, like FF7 Independent Materia (Purple).

Increased Rarity and Increased Quantity do the exact same thing - getting better drops from monsters or getting more experience from monsters, same kind of support gems.

It is incredibly challenging to increase in experience after level 80 and that shouldn't change.

But we already have a support gem increasing the chance of dropping rare items, therefore I find it fair to choose to wear a gem which provides a small experience bonus.

A support gem affecting only skill gem EXP would be a nice variation of the gem, I agree.

I actually prefer this idea to the original. Leveling gems is a pain and restricting.

Leveling past lvl 80.. is basically pointless. You get a few hundred more health and dps but nothing to write home about. People seem to thing the high 80s people are all powerful because of their level. No, they are powerful because they've invested SERIOUS time into that character which landed them great gear.

I actually was just thinking about this in game and then came to the suggestion forums to make a thread on it and saw one was already going. I totally agree, I do not think the hypothetical support gem should affect player exp, but would be great if you could link it with other gems to modify their experience gain.

I have at least one map friend (level 85) who has converted to a high DPS build and doesn't care about deaths now. No more leveling for him, and no more frustration when he dies.
