Chieftain "rework" is disapointing

Hello all,

I am a used-to of Chieftain AncestralTotem-starter-league, for to unlock my whole atlas and the voidstones.
Chieftain was a ascendancy that i like to play with, tried different builds, start leagues with and come back later in the same league.

It's understandable that GGG want to remake-up Chieftain, bring something fresh to it.

But so many points i don't understand :
* Why remove the old Hinekora, Death Fury (10% Increased Strength & Cover Rare/unique mobs with ashes) from Chieftain to give it to Scion ???
=> Marauder is the STR class, it's logic that the class got the 10% Inc STR
=> "Ash" was a trademark of Chieftain, the fire-master ascendancy. It been remove and give to another class... The new notable "Settling ash" on Marauder's side, is a very-bad-compensation and it force you to take 2 nodes "Attack have 15% chance to ignite"... If i want to cover ennemies with ashes, i have to play a static-Attacker-Ignite ? What about Spell-Caster and DirectDmg-Attacker ?
** The new Hinekora & Ngamahu look extremly bad :
=> I can guess Hinekora should be use with RF(and RF only, SR-8stages-exposure is useless), but Flammability+Exposure have a similar effect and don't force me to stand next to Uber-Eater that can 1-Shot me at any moment...
=> the new Ngamahu, i am just speechless, i really don't get it ...
*** Tawhoa and Tukohama :
=> Tawhoa was the worst passiv of the old Chieftain, and this is the only one that still there... It can be usefull for mapping, but pretty useless against bosses, it cannot be exerted and dont benefit from Fist Of War.
=> New Tukohama, get a 7 links on Body Armour could be nice, but it don't synergize with Tawhoa and it's not comparable to what a Zerker or a Slayer can bring to your DPS for Slam-Attacks. (Just skip AncestralCallSupportLv30, i think it's just joke from GGG)
**** Why remove from the game the ascendancy of the Melee-Totem ? Aka old Arohongui and Tukohama passiv ...?... I need an explaination on this one please...
***** The new Arohongui, Totem Node, is meeeh, the taunt is nice, but the rest of the passives are tendentious.
****** Tasalio and Valako are very nice, very usefull, even more usefull for others leagues than SoftCore. But Tasalio become bad in mid/late game.
=>Thoses are the only positives things i can see in the "new" Chieftain

My questions and feelings about the "rework" of the Chieftain.

When i saw how cool & interesting is the rework of the Guardian, i feel so disapointed to what happen to the Chieftain...
It was an original ascendancy, dedicated to FireDmg and AncestralTotems, it offer some niche playstyles, but with a strong background.
I hope i would get answers to my questions and pray GGG to consider to rework the reworked-Chieftain in something as interesting as the new Guardian is, maybe a special Totem for the Chieftain similar to the special minions of the guardian ? Who know ? XD

Thank you for attention. GL HF !

After 1 week of trying multiple builds on Chieftain, i still belive that Chieftain "rework" got a lot design-issues !

* Ramako, Sun's Light increased the Fire-Damage-over-time by 20% IF i stay stationnary. This ascendancy-node will never justify a RF build Chieftain over Inquisitor/Elementalist/Jugg ascendancies.
=> reminder : For direct/hit Fire-damage builds, from tree : 19% penetration + from gem FirePenSupport : 36% penetration .(can add more with ElePenSupport).

* Arohongui, Moon's Presence the totem node, it don't make Totem-Builds viable with Chieftain, it's barely useless.
The only interest i could see of this node is the taunt line, if you want to make a meme/joke-totem-build with FlameWoodSupport + Torchoak Step on something else than Decoy-Totem. Don't expect to reach Maven with a build like that ...

* Tukohama, War's Herald & Tawhoa, Forest's Strength : mentionned on previous post :
- about Slam, Tawhoa and Tukohama don't work togeteher, Tawhoa cannot exerted his attack and don't use FistOfWar. Tukoma's 7-links Body Armour is good.
- about Strike, Tawhoa is fine, it can hit the same target than you, but the cooldown is too long for Strike-Builds(based on AtkSpd) and it still don't use Exerted-mechanic(Ancestral WarCry). Tukohama : Ancestral Call Lv30 ? Seriously ? 10% increased damage on strike attack ... Even if it was Ancestral Call Lv40, it will still be bad.

* Ngamahu, Flame's Advance, GGG can remove it from the game, no one will notice ... The only situation i could take this node is ... There's no situation i would pick it ...

* Hinekora, Death's Fury & Tasalio/Valako :
- Hinekora can be pretty strong, and make Chieftain good over others ascendancies for a FireBased-Build, but BIG issue with numbers (5%//500%), it's unusable in the current state.
- Tasalio help so much during lvling, i started the league with Chieftain, it was so great to cap all my resistance with 2 RubyRings and some FireRes crafted on gears. But it lose a lot of interest at higher lvl, in Atlas, but it can be great if you use the helmet The Formless Flame.
- Valako is similar to Tasalio but scale so well with end-game, the only great node of Chieftain for me.

Chieftain current state :
=> RF/Fire builds(Hinekora, Ngamahu & Ramako) < Elementalist/Inquisitor/Juggernaut
=> Slam/Strike builds(Tukohama & Tawhoa) < Berserker/Champion/Slayer
=> Totem builds(Arohongui) < Hierophant/Champion/Raider
=> Defense (Tasalio & Valako) < Juggernaut's Unbreakable, Unstoppable, Untiring & Endurance charges

This is how i see Chieftain after trying few builds during the 1rst week of the league. (RF+SR/FTrap, AW, TectonicSlam & others stuff with STR stacking)

My biggest concern is the AncestralTotems nodes (Previous-Chieftain's (old)Tukohama and (old)Arohongui): Why GGG remove the Ancestral Totems gameplay from Ascendancy ? It could be the niche of the "new"-Chieftain.

I hope for a reREwork of the Chieftain, or a comeback of the old-one.
