Very confused on what this league is about. Ruthless going core soon I guess?

So I've skipped many leagues just to come read the new patch notes and must say I am very confused. For one I remember watching a livestream talking about Ruthless being someones side project for fun. Now it seems this obsession has infected the offices of PoE? Why is 50% of the patch notes about a game mode almost NO ONE plays?

Please GGG. WTF is going on?!

This was the opportunity you took after Diablo 4 had no end game? I just can't imagine such low effort updates at this time. Embarassing.

but Bg3 it is, at least Larian is still able to create great game. Bliz lost their passion for games years ago and it seems GGG also lost their passion to their own decade old good project ever since they decided to create PoE2.

At least without all these crucible trees, I'll be satisfied making just one build this league and being done with it. I'll miss some of those passives :(

Ouch sorry man. I usually just play one character a league like a madman. Just bummed to see that there basically is no patch notes that matter. Feels like a very stale game. Partially my fault for playing SRS so much but hey, they destroyed my wonderful Ice Crash Juggernaut build the second it got fun. Because imagine having fun as melee in an ARPG...

This game feels like Overwatch now. In limbo destined to die and be Overwatch 2.

And I'll be honest it hurts. I spent a decade loving a game and I will probably never reproduce that here again.

If Ruthless is what PoE2 is gonna look like, and it still runs on THIS engine? Path of Exile 2 is 100% dead on arrival.

And honestly, what I've heard about the demos ain't sounding very convincing.

did you even watch any of the exilecon? the main reason for separating the games was that they remade everything in the game, and vast majority cannot be applied to poe1

You must be new to video games. PoE 1 will either be cancelled if PoE2 is a huge success. Or poe2 will be a failed experiment, so they keep PoE1 in case.
If you really think GGG is going to have 2 seperate development teams you are crazy, they had 1 guy make an entire league lol

Though changes to Ruthless (mainly ascendancy classes) took significant portion of patch notes, comparing to new league content they are quite insignificant.
