QoL Suggestion to reduce clicking when transfering items (Hover transfer)
|
People are losing their wrists and fingers over this game. We need a better method for transferring items to and from the stash. This could easily be accomplished by implementing hover transfer. When the hover transfer button is pressed, it transfers the items as you move the cursor over them or when held hovering on big stacks. (between your stash and your inventory)
This feature already exists in Rust and it's an incredible QoL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_d9cOIvwht8 Please, I'm getting old and can't click 3874 times after each map anymore. It would take less than 5 minutes to implement but it would save countless gamer lifetimes. Thank you soo much. the thing is: the game is telling you to ignore items. and in the worst case of being in dire need of a new belt, just buy it for 3 chaos orbs on the market.
why? because finding 3c is faster than you finding the same or better belt on the ground. the point of gameplay, when you should pickup bases, is, when you have the chance to get ilevel 85++ stuff and even then you're just picking up the bases which are worth something according to poe.ninja age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" I don't pick up any bases myself as I usually don't want to craft nor do I want to bother selling them and I'd like to have this feature. I'm also not sure the OP was talking specifically about bases. Bases notwithstanding, I'd find this feature useful to transfer currency, fragments and maps from my inventory to my stash after clearing a map. Less clicking to accomplish the same thing sounds great to me. |

" personal preference, i rather like point and click games cause the focus for excellence is on aiming with the mouse. since poe supported joysticks that can't aim, the focus has shifted to "direction and click". there are games for it but those games require a different skill set. poe needs to decide whether it's a "point and click" or "direction and click" game. supporting both will result in poe being one with the inferior input method which require less skill in aiming. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill! " Aiming? Skill? For inventory management? What does that have to with the suggestion at hand? Right now to transfer items from my inventory to my stash (not talking about dragging the item), I have to move my mouse cursor over the item and CTRL+click and I have to repeat that for each item I want to transfer. If the OP's suggestion was implemented, I could hold down a hotkey while moving my mouse cursor over the items to accomplish the same thing while reducing repetitive clicking. If someone doesn't want to use that method, they would simply not press the hotkey and proceed as usual. I'm not sure why you're so against an optional feature that could potentially reduce wrist strain for someone who wants to use that option. |

just use an autoclicker makro which you setup in your mouse driver or create some with autohotkey or some other automation software.
if it's bannable and you lose your account, you can ask why they actually ban automatisation. this would also answer the question, why they don't implement stuff that they don't like into their game. -- regarding wrist strain, my wrists are actually more strained when holding a button without hurting the mouses' mechanic parts in stressful game situations, rather than repeatedly clicking with the mouse. but that's a very personal and might not apply to everyone age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

" Suggesting I put my account at risk because I'm agreeing with a suggestion made in the suggestions section of this forum. C'mon now. In regards to automation, it's also not much different functionally than holding down the LMB rather than continuously clicking it to move. " How do you know what stuff they like and don't like? Are you in contact directly with GGG or are you just making assumptions? There's no harm in making suggestions. No one is implying or assuming that any of them will be incorporated into the game. That's up to GGG to decide and not you. You're certainly free to disagree with any suggestion, but please don't speak for GGG. " I'm not sure about you, but inventory management while interacting with my stash is not a stressful situation for me. We only have access to our stash in hideouts and towns or other non-combat areas. You also haven't answered why you were talking about aiming and skill in a discussion about inventory management and QOL. |
