Boss HP reset. Does it count for map and pinnacle bosses?

i asked support but they could not get an answer yet, since devs where not available at this time.

Maybe some of you that attended ExileCon this year know something more that was discussed behind the scenes in this regard. Here my text again slightly altered:

I want to ask if Boss HP resets only count for the Path of Exile 2 acts or if this extends into map and pinnacle bosses as well?

If you can't answer this please forward it to developer that may have the answers.

Games not out yet, and won't be for a year or more. Nothing is true yet, because nothings actually set in stone just yet. I'm not sure there's a person in the world who can truthfully answer the question, and the people who can likely know better than to make locking statements this before release time.

We don't even know how the endgame is going to look like and how the mechanics are going to work and GGG likely isn't final on those things either so there is no sure fire answer to that. Personally i expect the reset to apply to all bosses but i doubt it's going to come in a package with the 6 portal mode we have in POE.

If you watch neon’s talk on boss design, he is very up front about why they don’t want you to corpse run bosses.

I’m pretty sure they’ll reset for consistency. GGG is already going to put a whole lot of balancing work in to make this mechanic fair in the campaign. It would be weird to take a different balance approach to endgame. Balancing around this will also make the game a lot more fair for those who want to play it in HC modes.

Of course the game is a year out from closed beta. A lot could change in a year and they may decide it’s not viable to have these resets built into the mapping system. We really just don’t know and probably neither do they.

If, and this is a big "if", it follows the Ruthless path, then it will only be campaign/act bosses that reset, not map/pinnacle bosses.

Has GGG ever made a mechanic harder in Acts than in maps, harder in maps than Pinnacle content? "If" boss hp reset stays, it is almost certain to be consistent among all bosses, probably all uniques. This would free them up to allow for more boss runs per summon if they chose.

GGG has stated that there is no hidden mechanic to get higher trial rounds or increased trial master fights in the Ultimatum league.
