PoE 4.0

Dear GGG,

So, you slit the games. Everyone and their moms can understand why, even though there are some promises here that are being broken. But that's just a minor thing, I guess?

PoE 4.0 would be SUCH a large, significant patch that you decided to call it "PoE 2". But now, you've split the games. I'm wondering if "PoE 4.0" will still be a thing with major updates/improvements (you know, not just additions) to PoE, or are we going to go from 3.22 to 3.99999?

I know an answer here would (maybe) calm some people down.

I don’t see why there would not be a major change to PoE: Legacy at some point.

If PoE: Legacy is going to continue on its own live service path at some point the devs will likely shake up the endgame and introduce a new play style like they did in the transitions between 1.0-2.0 and 2.0 to 3.0.

My guess is they will develop an endgame engagement separate from maps in PoE: (Working title here) that will be ported to Legacy and will come with a driver update that warrants a 4.0 version. May even be the first league after PoE: (Working title here) goes live.
