"items that can have a Veiled modifier"

playing SSF.
got a few veiled chaos orbs.
noticed that they say "Can only be used on items that can have a Veiled modifier"
tried for about 30 min. (wiki, forum, google, etc.) to learn which items that can have a Veiled modifier, but no luck :-(
can you enlighten me?

Veiled mods can only occur on gear pieces. This includes all jewellery (rings, amulets, belts), weapons (including quivers), and helmets, body armours, gloves, and boots. Using a Veiled Chaos orb on any of these items will reroll the item and add a veiled mod. You can combine this with Suffixes Cannot be Changed or Prefixes Cannot be Changed, which has its uses in trade league but is probably ill-advised in SSF.

It is possible to craft veiled mods using the crafting bench, albeit at a lower magnitude. You also must have previously unveiled the mod naturally to be able to craft it. This allows you to craft some exclusive mods on flasks, but you cannot use a Veiled Chaos on a flask. (The final Betrayal boss can drop a unique flask with a veiled mod on it, allowing you to unveil it and unlock the craft.)

Jewels cannot have veiled mods on them.

e: You can apply veiled mods to Influenced, Fractured, and Synthesised items. The only restriction on applying them to an eligible item is that you cannot force two veiled or unveiled mods to appear at the same time - for example, if you use a veiled chaos orb to get a veiled prefix, unveil it, and then craft Prefixes Cannot be Changed and attempt to use another veiled chaos.

so if I understand you correctly a veiled chaos orb will not work on influenced gear, fractured gear, and synthesized gear, correct?

Veiled chaos works on all of those. It will not work on jewels as PurpleChakra said. It will also not work on anything that has a veiled mod that you are forcibly keeping (i.e. veiled prefix where you do prefixes cannot be changed to keep it).

Sorry, I did say 'normal' gear pieces. I have edited my original post. Temjin is correct.
